Starting the new year off on a bright note, Jordan Brand returns for their first drop of 2021 with this weekend's release of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Volt Gold”. Maintaining the classic “Black Toe” colour blocking of past releases, the upper features a soft white leather base, with black leather overlays at the toe, eyestays, and Swoosh’s. Contrasting hits of volt yellow and gold make their way onto the collar flaps and heel respectively, while the aforementioned collar flap comes rimmed in black trim and stamped with Jordan Brand’s ‘Wings’ logo. Subtle updates can be seen at the mudguard and bottom eyestays, which feature a single line of stitching, while more unique details come in the form of a stripped-back collar and tongue, which feature an exposed foam (de)construction. The silhouette is then rounded off with a translucent orange tag at the tongue, a sail midsole and black outsole pairing, as well as two sets of laces in cream and black.
